Fugawi Touratel Interfaces
We are working hard to develop useful web services on the Fugawi Touratel site. Here a a few interfaces which are now available:

• Plot a Point
  If you want to link your website to a topographic map, simply link to www.touratel.com using our straightforward Plot Point interface.
  
  Simple Lat/Lon:
  Link some text or an image from your website to touratel using latitude and longitude coordinates:

  Where:
  
  Lat = Latitude in degrees and decimals of a degree (up to six decimal places).
  Lon = Longitude in degrees and decimals of a degree (up to six decimal places). For "West" use a negative sign.
  
  Note: Latitude / Longitude coordinates are expected to be in WGS-84 datum.
  
  Simple UTM:
  You can use UTM coordinates instead of Latitude / Longitude coordinates as follows:
  
  http://www.touratel.com/Touratel.exe?__&East=459181&North=5008632&Zone=17
  
  Where:
  
  East = UTM Easting (in meters)
  North = UTM Northing (in meters)
  Zone = UTM Zone #
  
  Note UTM coordinates are expected to be in NAD-83 datum.
  
  Advanced:
  You can also request a specific map scale and map theme. These parameters are optional. If no Map Theme is specified, a topographic map will be returned by default. If no scale is specified, the largest scale available for the region will be returned.
  
  MapTheme = 0 for Air Photo and 1 for Topo map. Air photo maps are only available for USA.
  
  Scale = a value between 10 and 19, as follows:

  Examples:
  
  http://www.touratel.com/Touratel.exe?__&Lat=40&Lon=-100&Scale=17 will return a USGS Topo Map (no map type specified so topo is default) at 128 meters per pixel (scale equivalent is 1:800,000)
  
  http://www.touratel.com/Touratel.exe?__&Lat=40.126387&Lon=-99.896745&Scale=11&MapTheme=0 will return a USGS Air Photo Maps (DRG) at 2 meters per pixel (scale equivalent is 1:12,500)
  

• Upload a Garmin GPS from your Website
  You can upload a Garmin GPS with Waypoints, Routes and Tracks very simply. The Garmin GPS must be a modern type with a USB cable, such as the Garmin eTrex Vista or the Garmin Colorado
  
  Step 1 - Create a GPX file containing the waypoint, routes or tracks you wish to upload. This can be done very easily and quickly using Fugawi Global Navigator software.
  
  Step 2 - upload this GPX file to your website, or anywhere on the web where it is available to a third party web browser. e.g. www.MyWebPage.com/MyGarminData.gpx
  
  Step 3 - Invoke the Touratel Garmin uploader as follows:
  
  http://www.touratel.com/fugawi_gpx.exe?__&url=http://www.MyWebPage.com/MyGarminData.gpx
  
  Where url = the explicit url to your GPX file.
  
  Note: the re is a 1 Megabyte file size limit on the GPX file.
  
  Example: Here is an example url which will upload a short track (called StClair.gpx) to a Garmin.
